Board of Directors This Queen Anne residence, built circa 1885, is a contributing building to the West Side Historic District listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is located in an Adam Favro Architectural Review District. President Michele Funiciello The proposed work involves removal of the slate roof and replacing it with asphalt shingles. Vice President Dmitriy Yermolayev It is the Foundation's understanding that the removal of the slate roof and replacement with Treasurer asphalt was started without approval and a stop work order was issued. This is further Linda Harvey-Opiteck evidenced by 2021 satellite images. Secretary Tiffany Blair Roofs are an important character-defining feature of a building. Roof shape,materials and Jaime Butler details contribute to the historic character and significance;roof form and the pattern,scale, Giovanna D'orazio color and texture of roofing materials are important visual features of historic buildings. Therefore,it recommends Richard King Stephen Kyne that the owner explore the New York State Historic Homeowner Tax Credit program. This Vincent LaTerra program offers a state income tax credit equal to 20% of qualified rehabilitation expenses Samantha Nass associated with repair,maintenance,and upgrades to historic homes.The value of the credit Rogers-Bullis Rogers-Bullis pp Sheila Sperling is applied to your NYS tax liability to reduce the amount one owes. The program covers Jason Thomas 20%of qualified rehabilitation expenses up to a credit value of$50,000 per year.
