RORY & BLAKE PARK
STORM WATER MANAGEMENT NARRATIVE
The existing site is located at 53 Putnam Place, Saratoga Springs, New York. The lot is
approximately 13,500 square feet (0.31) acres in size, and is currently regulated by DEC as a
Brownfield Site. An existing commercial use concrete block building previously existed on this
site, and was removed as part of the Brownfield clean-up. The remainder of the site consisted of
asphalt paving and compacted gravel drive and parking. Nearly the entire site was impervious
prior to the removal of the existing building.
The current conditions of the site are exposed sands and gravels from the demolition and
construction operations for removals performed as part of the Brownfield Permit. The proposed
action is intended to stabilize this condition as well as provide a functioning pocket park.
The proposed site will consist of grass areas, plantings and two octagon picnic tables mounted on
concrete slabs. The total impervious area will be between 100 and 200 square feet. Based on the
substantial increase of the pervious area under the proposed conditions, Storm water
management will not be required for this project.
