NOTICE OF DECISION
In the matter of the application

involving Architectural review of a post-work modification to an approved application of exterior modifications to an
existing structure within the Urban Core (UC) District, tax parcel # 165.60-1-76, within the City of Saratoga Springs.
In accordance with 6 NYCRR Part 617, the Design Review Board classifies this request as a SEQR:
Type II action – exempt from further SEQR review
And, in accordance with the objectives, standards and guidelines contained in the Unified Development Ordinance
Article 240-13.9 Historic Review Applicability and Approval Standards, the Design Review Board issues the following
decision on August 5, 2026:
Deny the plans for the following reasons:
The materials installed are not appropriate.
Record of vote:
motion to deny made by G Wood, seconded by K D’Andrea passed 5-0
In favor: T Ehinger, K Cavotta, K D’Andrea, L DiCarlo, G Wood
Note: this approval shall expire 18 months from the issuance date unless any necessary building permit has been issued and
actual work begun.
As a result of this decision, the applicant:
shall remove the unapproved materials and install the railing as originally approved in May 2024.
