RE: 22 Fifth Avenue – Demolition & New Construction
Dear Tamie:
The Saratoga Springs Preservation Foundation has reviewed the application for demolition
and new construction at 22 Fifth Avenue.
The Colonial Revival residence at 22 Fifth Avenue was built in 1966. It is a non-
contributing building to the East Side Historic District. In 1998, exterior alterations were
made. The aluminum siding was replaced with clapboard siding, and a new front porch
was constructed to accommodate a handicap accessible ramp. In 2013 an addition was
made to the southeast corner of the house and significant changes were also made to the
existing south façade. Enclosed is a photo of the house as it appeared in 1992 for reference.
Therefore, the Foundation does not object to the proposed demolition and new
construction.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
C. Christopher Armer Samantha Bosshart
