RE: 64 Washington Street – Demolition and New Construction
Dear Tamie:
The Saratoga Springs Preservation Foundation reviewed the plans for the demolition of the
existing structure and the mass and scale of the proposed new construction at 64
Washington Street.
The existing building does not have any architectural or historical significance, therefore
the Foundation does not object to its demolition and supports the redevelopment of the lot.
The Foundation does not object to the proposed mass and scale of the new building.
However, it recommends that the east and west elevations be broken into smaller visual
components. The Foundation looks forward to reviewing the plans as they continue to
develop.
Thank you in advance for your thoughtful consideration.
Sincerely,
C. Christopher Armer Samantha Bosshart
