NOTICE OF DECISION
In the matter of the application

involving Historic review of a rear addition to an existing structure within the Urban Residential-3 District, tax parcel # 165.51-1-
26, within the City of Saratoga Springs.
In accordance with 6 NYCRR Part 617, the Design Review Board classifies this request as a SEQR:
Type II action – exempt from further SEQR review
And, in accordance with the objectives, standards and guidelines contained in the Unified Development Ordinance Article 240 -
13.9 Historic Review Applicability and Approval Standards, the Design Review Board issues the following decision on May 6,
2026:
Approve the plans with the following conditions:
Applicant to use smooth side LP Smartside rather than cement board and submit final drawings that
show the east façade attic window being maintained, wood windows for all attic windows and specs of
the replication of wood detailing in the attic windows being replaced
Record of vote:
motion to approve made by R DuBoff, seconded by CBennett passed 7-0
In favor: T Ehinger, RDuBoff, CBennett, LDiCarlo, JGritsavage, K Cavotta, G Wood
Note: this approval shall expire 18 months from the issuance date unless any necessary building permit has been issued and
actual work begun.
As a result of this decision, the applicant:
may proceed with the proposed project as approved
