Keith Kaplan, Chair
Zoning Board of Appeals
474 Broadway
Saratoga Springs, NY 12866
Dear Mr. Kaplan and members of the ZBA,
RE: 420190908 - T ORNBU /To11 E S CARRIAGE HOUSE, 91 UNION
AVENUE
We are writing in support of the application to allow a second principal residential
structure at the rear of the parcel at 91 Union Avenue. The structure, to be
located at 36 George Street, is almost directly across the street from our
residence.
We have no objection to another residential unit being added to the applicant's
parcel or that it be added in a second detached structure. We are pleased that the
structure is being developed in compliance with the UR-3 zoning district standards
that are applicable to our entire north side of George Street.
Our only concern is that we would like to see the granting of this variance be
conditioned upon the removal of the curb cut and driveway apron in front of the
existing garage that is to be demolished . We believe there is adequate room on
the parcel for the required 4 off-street parking spaces and that only one curb cut
is needed. Removing the parcel' s existing second curb cut will provide an extra
public parking space on the street that is much needed in the summer months.
Sincerely
do/i: F
