Hi Mark,
Apologies if I missed any correspondence, but I don't believe I've heard back from you or Susan. Since
tomorrow (2/2) is the workshop, I wanted to follow up with some notes and the requested
information.
1) I am re-confirming that the variance request for the Interior setback (right-side of house) is not
necessary, and we can remain compliant between the 13.3' current state and 12' minimum
requirement.
2) Attached is a PPT file with pictures of neighborhood homes with a similar front yard setback for
front porch/features.
3) We can reduce the front porch from 8' to 6', which would change our front setback proposal from
16' to 18'. We do not have updated plans for this; we are offering it as a contingency.
4) I know that the scope of this board is variance, not aesthetics. But I wanted to note that the front
porch design in the project plans may be slightly misleading. Specifically, the columns that the
architect used in the drawing are not what we would use. They are for placement purposes only and in
the final project they would better synergize with the look of the home and the neighborhood.
Thank you,
Tyler
