Susan,
Please see the attached plans as requested. They show a combined driveway width of 22 1/2
feet out of the actual 90 feet of street frontage which meets the 25% of property driveway
frontage allowable as per the building code. The existing driveway from the street is at least 15
feet wide as estimated from the photo attached. Proposed garage elevations are also
attached, however these have not been finalized or presented to the Design Review Board as
of yet.
There was also a reference at the meeting to the allowable driveway length from the garage to
the road on Bryan Street. There are three other properties on our Bryan Street block where
there is evidence of prior carriage entry at 42, 55 and 57 Bryan Street. All three properties have
a distance from the building structure to the street of approximately 13 feet. At our property, the
original historic garage had been closer to the street than the distance in the variance we had
requested and had been allowed under decision #20240977. This decision provided a distance
from the garage structure to the street of approximately 20 feet. Please advise if any additional
materials are necessary for us to provide for review at the next meeting.

Hello Mr. Klein,
As discussed at the ZBA meeting last night, please provide a modified plot plan that shows the
proposed driveway to the detached garage from Bryan St. and what the combined width of the
driveways (existing and proposed) would be. An area variance may be required to exceed maximum
25% of the property frontage. Also, please provide elevation drawings of the proposed garage.
