Exterior Material Specifications

drawings for design and layout.
I. Stone Base: 4” Granite Veneer. 4” thickness allows for wider face size. Installed in a roughly
rectangular pattern with 3/8” grout lines. No cultured stone products to be used. Product to be installed
below water table along perimeter of building at all locations except recessed parking access area.
II. Architectural Masonry Units: Smooth faced colored 6” thick units. Installed below water table at three
interior faces of recessed parking access area.

III. Overhead Doors: 5 layer composite overhead doors by Clopay or equal. Stain finish.
IV. Water Table and Sills: Precast finished concrete by Corinthian Cast Stone or equal.
V. Brick: Full 4” nominal depth actual brick attached to wood framing with adjustable masonry hangers.
No thin brick veneer is to be used as proposed pilasters and corbels cannot be built with thin veneer.

VI. Porch Decking: Blind-nailed, Oiled, Tongue and Groove Tropical Hardwood (either mahogany or
Ipe). Composite or cellular deck materials shall not be used. Spaced decking and/or exposed fasteners
shall not be used.
VII. Composite Trim and First Floor Railings: Boral or equal. All trim will be painted. No plastic finishes
or exposed fastener heads will be permitted.

VIII. Windows and Patio Doors: Aluminum-clad wood windows and patio doors (Marvin or equal). Vinyl
or fiberglass windows shall not be used.
IX. Entry Doors: Wood doors with sidelights and transom (Trustile or equal). Neither fiberglass nor steel
cladding shall be used. Stain finish.

X. Upper Railings: Cast metal with black finish.
XI. Roof Flashing and Drip Edge: 16 oz. copper sheet metal and fasteners.
XII. Slate Roof: Natural Slate roof installed with 3” head lap and copper nails.
