Project Address 673 Crescent Avenye Comments I am writing to formally state my opposition to the proposed Project 673 Crescent Zoning Amendment and to respectfully request that the City Council adjourn any public hearing and postpone any decision on this matter to allow myself and my Lakeside at Riley’s neighbors time to review the application and related findings in more detail. I am a resident of the Lakeside at Riley’s neighborhood, whose property abuts to the area subject to the proposed zoning amendment. I was only notified by mail on Monday, January 1/20/26, 1:01 PM Inbox - Mark Graham - Outlook https://outlook.office365.com/mail/inbox/id/AAQkAGIxYTcxODdiLTE4ZmUtNDdlMy05MTNlLTA4ZjY5NTFhMDAzMQAQALuXTHrrbh1FpC7EivKcRKw%…1/2 12, 2026, that this application was under consideration. Prior to receiving this notice, I was completely unaware that the City’s Planning Board had met regarding this matter as far back as May 22, 2025. Further compounding this issue, the Planning Board’s advisory opinion to the City Council was not posted on the City of Saratoga Springs website until January 13, 2026 at approximately 3:39 PM—after I received notice of the upcoming proceedings. As such, my neigahbors and I have not been afforded a meaningful opportunity to review the Planning Board’s findings or understand the rationale behind its recommendation. At present, there is also a significant lack of detail regarding what the applicant proposes to build along Crescent Avenue. This absence of clarity raises numerous concerns, including but not limited to: • Land-use compatibility • Environmental impacts • Traffic and infrastructure effects • Preservation of the established character of our neighborhood These are serious issues that warrant careful review, discussion, and potentially the consultation of professional or legal counsel by neighborhood residents. I am a resident of the Lakeside at Riley’s neighborhood, whose property abuts to the area subject to the proposed zoning amendment. I was only notified by mail on Monday, January 12, 2026, that this application was under consideration. Additionally, the notification letter referenced City Attorney Tony Izzo as a point of contact. When I reached out to Mr. Izzo with questions, he indicated that he was not aware of the letter nor of his mention within it, and stated that he would need to contact Ms. Barbara Brindisi, the letter’s signatory, to learn more about the matter. This further underscores the confusion surrounding this application and the process to date. Given the lack of timely notice, the delayed posting of critical documents, and the incomplete information available to residents most directly affected, I respectfully request that the City Council adjourn the public hearing and postpone any decision on the “Project 673 Crescent Zoning Amendment”. Doing so would ensure a fair, transparent process and allow myself and my neighbors the reasonable opportunity to review materials more fully, consider impacts, and determine appropriate next steps. Thank you for your consideration of this request and for your service to the community. I respectfully urge the Council to ensure that I, along with my neighbors are afforded adequate notice and a meaningful opportunity to participate before any action is taken.
