Updated Layout Summary
●Branch box system located in crawl space
acts as a central hub for refrigerant lines.
●All zones except the kitchen can be served
by either a floor mounted indoor unit or
ceiling cassette. This enables us to conceal
line runs via the attic and crawl space.
●Significantly reduces visual impact: New
layout will only require 2 exterior
penetrations. One on the east facing exterior
wall (adjacent to 203 Caroline St.) and one in
the back of the property.
Front Dining/Living Area
Type: Floor-mounted unit.
Location: On the wall in
vicinity of the the blue
chair.
Routing: Lines will go
straight down through the
floor into the
basement/crawl space.
Floor Mount
Mitsubishi floor mount
Back Living Room
Type: Floor-mounted unit.
Location: Planned for the back wall.
Routing: Lines will run through the
crawl space to avoid visible piping on
the exterior.
Floor mount
Kitchen
Type: Wall-mounted unit
(likely high wall).
Wall mounted unitLocation: Debated
placement above the
cabinets or near the
fridge.
Routing: This will be
the only line set visible
from the neighboring
property. Reduces the
runs on this exterior
wall from 4 down to 1.
Updated configuration:Original configuration:
Second Floor
Type: Three (3) ceiling cassettes.
Routing: Will require one straight
exterior run in the back of the
property. Lines for the three upstairs
cassettes will traverse the attic and
exit through the gable end.
From the gable, the lines will:
●Run down the corner of the
house, go under the back porch
●Punch back into the crawl space
to connect to the branch box.
The line run from the ceiling
cassettes upstairs will come out of
the gable corner and run straight
down along the back of the home,
then into the basement.
