Comments Constructing a residential property adjacent to the Market 32
plaza will force the businesses (Market 32, etc.) to abide by the
city residential noise ordinance since they will now be within
250 ft and/or be adjacent to a residential property. Informal
noise measurements exceeding 90 dB have been observed
(from the property line in proximity to the loading docks) during
nightime operations behind Market 32. These can be prolonged
noise events. This would put Market 32 frequently in violation of
the noise ordinance. The level of periodic noise during night

hours also significant exceeds the recommend max nightitme
noise levels (30-45 db) for residential areas as stated by the
World Health Organization. There is substantial flood lighting
utilized throughout the night behind the plaza which also is not
a recommended condition for residential dwellings.
