Comments While trying to incorporate more affordable housing into the city
is a good practice it does not mean that it should be
constructed in locations that are not appropriate (directly
adjacent to active loading docks for several commercial
businesses). This could potentially be considered an
inappropriate environmental justice practice. No one would
build or buy high end housing in this location, so why is it OK
for affordable housing to be shoe-horned right up against the
back of a commercial plaza? Demonstration of potentially

questionable urban planning practices by the City could impact
the chances for the City to be selected for various future State
grants. Doing the right thing by providing mixed residential
opportunities is good practice. But that includes doing it in the
right place.
