Dear Amanda:
At the meeting on October 28, 2019, the ZBA inquired about how the surveyor calculated the average lot
width. I communicated with Nathan Burrows, the surveyor on this project, to determine the methodology.
Nathan contacted the city in advance to determine if there was a preferred method. He was told "it's just an
average." He then utilized three measurements, from the front of the lot, the middle of the lot and the rear
and used those to calculate the average of 413 feet. This is more than double the width required for single
family residence in the RR district.
During the meeting last night, the board advised they would next be meeting on November 18, 2019. I will
be out of state that evening. Please schedule us for the following meeting, on December 2, 2019 so I may
be present when this matter is considered. I will have another meeting that night, so would ask that I be
placed first on your agenda so I can get to the other meeting as soon as possible following the
consideration of the matter. Can you let me know if that can work?
