House is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as part of the East Side Historic District.
It is listed as clapboard, Queen Anne Style, c. 1890.
The Sanborne Fire Insurance Map from Saratoga, Saratoga County New York Oct 1885 & 1889 shows the main house 162
Circular Street as a 2 1/2 story dwelling with a rear building listed as 162 1/2 Circular street as a 2 story building . The
1900 map does not indicate the rear building, & the 1959 map indicates the main house as “HIGH ROCK LODGE GUEST
HOUSE” and includes a 1 1/2 story AUTO at the rear of the house to the northside of the property. see attached Historic
map documents.
(Above) Front elevation along Circular Street.
The front porch & stair are in disrepair and will be repaired or rebuilt
will materials in kind, and be repainted. The existing railings are to
remain and be repainted.
The roofing (asphalt shingles) will be removed and replaced with new
architectural asphalt shingles, color to be similar to existing.
Several area of wood trim & clapboard are deteriorated and will be
repaired or replaced in kind.
The existing paint has tested positive for lead, it will be properly
abated and the entire house, foundations, stair porches & railings will
be repainted.

architectural asphalt shingles, color to be similar to existing.
