HomeMy WebLinkAbout20250933 40 Friar Tuck Way Area Variance Public Comment (2)To the members of the Saratoga Springs ZBA,
We respecully request the denial of a variance for extension of the pool apron to be used as a
pao around our neighbor’s pool at 40 Friar Tuck Way.
We feel that further advances towards the property line will worsen our already compromised
privacy.
The pao will be in direct sightline of the beauful picture window in our bathroom, and we
feel there is no amount of shrubbery that can be planted that will ensure our privacy in that
part of our home.
A significant amount of money will need to be spent for a window treatment to ensure our
privacy, in keeping with the nature of our bathroom remodel.
A substanal amount of money on water abatement will need to be spent as our neighbor’s
pool and yard are now at least six inches above the previous level, which was even with our
yard prior to this pool. As water seeks its level, and with our ancipaon of the hardscape
pao, we know we will be dealing with run off from the pool and yard onto our lawn and
garden.
At the current stage of the project, it appears the pool builder assumed that they had the
variance in hand, as we see construcon stone all the way to our property line.
We respecully ask that the requested variance not be allowed.
Sincerely,
Dr. Paul E. Gebhard Jr and Jeanmarie F. Gebhard
