Dear Ms. Abraham:
On June 29, 2021, Geologic NY, P.C. visited the above referenced site, at the request of HDR, to
assess the Sub-Slab Depression System (SSDS). The operator of the AJ’s Dry Cleaners, Nanjoo
Kim, stated the fan was not running.
Upon inspection it was found that the fan, a RadonAway RP-265, was not running, and appeared
to have burnt out. The manufacture date of the existing fan was March 2012; therefore, the fan is
not covered under warranty. A new fan, RadonAway RP-265, was installed. The manufacture
date is September 2020.
A new U-Tube manometer was installed. The existing U-Tube manometer’s fluid was diluted with
water.
The SSDS was turned on and generating a vacuum of 2.5 inches of water. See representative
