Please enter your question or message. s a resident of this neighborhood, I am very concerned about the proposed condominiums at the corner of Rock Street and North Broadway. It DOES NOT fit into this residential neighborhood. Condominiums also further burden house owners with increased : WE have to pay taxes on the full value of hour property while the owners of condominiums pay taxes only on the market rental rate for their property. WE subsidize services and school taxes for them. This is patently unfair to us. The photos of the proposed building at 624 North Broadway shown here are the initial rendering looking north, the most recent rendering looking northeast, and the current building. The Foundation strongly objects to the proposed design. North Broadway has several multi-unit buildings that are adaptively reused single-family residences. The Foundation strongly recommends that the building have a single-family residential appearance to be in-keeping with the residential character of North Broadway, similar to the condominiums at 46 Union Avenue. In addition, the Foundation has concerns about the front setback, mass, as well as the placement of the garage entrance. The entrance to the garage should be on the alley, not Rock Street. Lastly, the proposed materials, fiber cement panels and steel railings, are inappropriate and inconsistent with the building materials of North Broadway. I would like, for once, for this committee to side with the people who ALREADY live in this neighborhood. Email not displaying correctly?
