Comments I cannot attend the planning board meeting on Thursday, 9/25,
because of a conflict with the Hospital Board meeting, but I
would like to let you know about my worries. Given the recent
building in the area and the addition of 3 new houses replacing
a single home on East Broadway, I have increased safety
concerns. The corner of Doten/Cleveland and East Broadway
needs to be a four-way stop, as there have been several close
calls and accidents due to the increased traffic. Also, people

park on both sides of Doten, which is sometimes a problem for
even pick-up trucks to squeeze through, let alone safety
vehicles of snow plows in the window. Allowing this area should
be single-sided parking only. Lastly, the city should consider
finishing curb and sidewalk installations on Cleveland and East
Broadway, as increased pedestrian/dog walking volume has
increased safety concerns. This was brought up previously,
given the current school bus stop locations as well.
