RE: 15 Spring Street – Signage & Exterior Alterations
Dear Tamie:
The Saratoga Springs Preservation Foundation reviewed the application for signage and
exterior modifications to 15 Spring Street.
The building at 15 Spring Street is a contributing building to the Broadway Historic District
listed on the National Registe of Historic Places.
The Foundation does not typically comment on signage as it is reversible. The Foundation does
not object to the proposed door nor the removal of the vents to install windows. However, the
application is incomplete regarding the installation of the HVAC. More information is needed.
Every effort should be made to minimize the visual impact of mechanicals and the penetrations
through foundations and walls should be limited.
