Comments My parents owned 628 N. Broadway, Burke’s Funeral Home for
many years of their life. After passing my sisters and I inherited
the building and sold it to the business. Throughout the years,
we made sure the building maintained its character in keeping
with such a beautiful and historic neighborhood. The proposed
building next-door is too large and overpowering, and will ruin
the ambience of the neighborhood.
This is a prominent corner and serves as a gateway to the
many beautiful homes lining the street on the way to Skidmore

College. This institutional style building should not be allowed
to be built. It would be an affront to all the property owners on
the street. It is not in keeping with the neighborhood.
