On page 2 & 3 of the drawings I showed the panels & equipment in red so it is easily spotted. But the reality is from the ground you will not really see the equipment, as it is pretty well hidden and the distance. The solar company said the conduit to & from the inverters would be 2” for feeds with an additional 1” for controls, so the wiring for all three inverts will be located in (1) 2” & (1) 1” conduit located low on the mechanical equipment roof area. The conduit can be painted to match the siding, but the equipment can not be. I located it so it will not be very visible, but if needed we can enclose them all together in a ventilated enclosure. I am also including cut sheets on the panels & the equipment. Due to a requirement by the state funding the project is applying for the solar is requirement. The solar array is proposed for the south facing roof of the 3 story apartment building. We are showing the solar array in the attached rendering. The asphalt shingles proposed for the roof will be black in color & the panels should blend in. Any conduits required will be painted to match the roof or siding as required to make them blend in with the surrounding materials also. Lindsey Connor & Susan discussed this amended application last week. Our funding application is due 9/11/2025, and we are requesting to be included on the 9/10/2025 DRC agenda. I understand this is short notice but if the solar array is not approved, we will need to amend our funding application to remove solar. Thank you in advance for your assistance with this application. I will hand deliver the amended application, site plan & building rendering later today.
