Hello Susan and Mark, On further discussion with others it has been suggested it would be useful to be more explicit in presenting acceptable options to the Planning Board, as shown below. Alternate Preferred Options to the Proposed Condo Development on Cottage Street 1. two single-family homes, in keeping with the neighborhood character 2. do 2 separate buildings to reduce scale 3. scaled down condos of 1500-1700 sqft like most others in the city 4. make building 2 floors rather than 3 5. increased setback from the neighbors on Park Place Also, it should be pointed out that Samantha Bossart presented her support to the DRB although the developer sits on the board of the Preservation Foundation along with her.  This appears to be a direct conflict of interest and may well have swayed some of that board's opinions.  Even still, 2 objected to the project's scale for this site. Finally, I will ask again to have this decision delayed because so many of us are out of town during the summer, and we cannot even Zoom into this meeting to be heard.  This is not a decision to be taken lightly as it will impact this neighborhood for many years to come, and certainly beyond all of our lifetimes.  There are many other ways to develop this infill lot.  This lot should NOT be looked at as a downtown parcel on Broadway, rather, it is situated in the middle of a residential neighborhood well away from downtown, where the local residents have always enjoyed the greenspace of their neighborhood.  It should also be noted again, and not taken lightly, that this developer destroyed all of the magnificent old trees on the property, some of the last in the area, just to clear the land for this project.  Your approval  should not be the way to reward his abusive behavior.
