REFER TO THE CURRENT FEE WORKSHEET INCLUDED IN THIS DOCUMENT.

name, residence, nature and extent of this interest must be filed with this application.
I, the undersigned owner, leasee or purchaser under contract for the property, hereby request Special Use
Permit approval by the Planning Board for the identified property above. I agree to meet all requirements
under Article 13 of the Unified Development Ordinance of the City of Saratoga Springs.
Furthermore, I hereby authorize members of the Planning Board and designated City staff to enter the
property associated with this application for purposesoff conducting any necessary site inspections relating to
this application. /

Application for Special Use Permit
Special Use Permit — 55 Union Avenue
Purpose of the request:
To bring the property into compliance with current City of Saratoga Springs
regulations that were recently updated in 2023. We are not adding additional
rooms to the Inn or changing the property in any way, but rather attempting to
bring the present business practices of the property in line with current
regulations. Presently the Inn is allowed to have 10 guestrooms in the main house
and 2 long term (rentals of 1 month or more) units within the carriage house but
has been operating with 11 rooms in the main house and renting the carriage
house as additional guestrooms. Compliance under the latest regulations
requires reclassification to Hotel — 20 or less guestrooms.
We would like to point out that we were unaware prior to purchasing the
property in May of 2025 that previous ownership(s) had been in non-compliance
with the City's regulations and are only seeking to legally conform through this
Special Use request.
Once again, we are not planning on altering the building or property, just trying to
adhere to the regulations in place at this time.
