As his next -door neighbors, we hope our input is valuable. We love our neighborhood, and we understand the importance of protecting its character. We wouldn't blindly endorse any in -home business, regardless of who proposed it. In this case, though, there are three key considerations that make us believe Jordan's proposal should be supported. First, the scope. This is a very small-scale operation. The garage space is modest, and the intended audience —local kids and artists —is limited. Whether it's small classes, workshops, or occasional art sales, the level of activity would be no more disruptive than a backyard dinner party or a child's birthday gathering. Second, the nature of the business: art. This wouldn't be loud, commercial, or high - traffic. It's wholesome, creative, and in line with the spirit of Saratoga. We're a community that values the arts, and a small pottery operation could contribute to our art scene in a positive way. Third, the existing culture of the neighborhood. While it is a residential area, the Becker home sits right next to a very busy restaurant and across from a public park that draws a steady stream of visitors. This isn't a sleepy, tucked -away street. We're used to activity, and something like this wouldn't be out of place. Jordan and his family have always been respectful and thoughtful neighbors, and we trust they would approach this venture with the same consideration. We fully support this proposal and hope that the necessary permit or ordinance will be granted. Best, Elizabeth DiNu zo Louis DiNuzzo 227 Lake Ave. Saratoga Springs, NY 12866
