SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY 12866 Involving the premises with tax parcel #165.76-2-6.1, in the City of Saratoga Springs, on an application for a special use permit modification to an existing school for an addition in the Urban Residential – 4 (UR-4) District. In accordance with 6 NYCRR Part 617, the Planning Board classified the action as a Type II SEQRA Action: • (9) construction or expansion of a primary or accessory/appurtenant, nonresidential structure or facility involving less than 4,000 square feet of gross floor area and not involving a change in zoning or a use variance and consistent with local land use controls, but not radio communication or microwave transmission facilities; Having properly noticed and conducted a public hearing on April 10 and May 8, 2025 as required on the proposed use; And, upon evaluation of the application based on the City’s enumerated evaluation criteria to ensure that the proposed use will not adversely affect surrounding properties and community character; And, in accordance with the approval standards set forth in the City’s Unified Development Ordinance, Article 13.4 “Special Use”, the Planning Board issues the following decision on May 8, 2025 (passed 6-0 – in favor: Pingel, Ferrante, McTygue, King, Stellato, White):  Issue a special use permit modification to expand the existing school by constructing additions totaling approximately 1,400 sq. ft. as per submitted plans: Condition: 1. Site plan review and approval required. Note: this approval shall expire 18 months from the issuance date unless all conditions have been complied with and a building permit issued, if applicable.
