Previous owner was well known Saratoga local merchant, David Winans. •1879-1880 Saratoga Springs Directory -He is a described as an “Artist” and is shown to own “Park Pl c Cottage.” There is also no house labeled at the property at this time. 1876 1880-1884 •1880-1884 Saratoga Springs Directory - a house is labeled at “h Park Place c Cottage” •1884 Directory states “New house” at this location 1884-1888 •1886 – First mention of this property labeled as “27 Park Place” •1887-1889 : Flora Horn is mentioned as a “bds” – a lodger at this address •1888 – The famous “birds-eye- view” map of Saratoga Springs is published depicting the first known visual of the building at 27 Park Place 1889-1895 •1889 - Sanborn Fire Insurance Map - showing the main house as 3 stories •1892 - Mention of Henry J Horn residing, for the Summer, at their “Villa” at 27 Park Place in the Evening Star Washington DC newspaper, July 15th 1892. •1893- Mention of a Christmas party the Horns are hosting, depicting their high socialite status at the time. New property boundaries created. •1979 – 1997: Operating Business at 7 cottage street: Stepping Star Dance Studio •2000 – 2022: Operating Business at 7 cottage street: O'Shea and French Insurance and single family •2022- today: 7 cottage street, current LaTerra single family house.
