We ask the board to kindly consider the following on our behalf regarding the site plan for property located at 7 Cottage Street where the applicants are requesting a 6 Unit condominium project. 5/27/25, 10:16 AM Mail - Mark Graham - Outlook https://outlook.office365.com/mail/inbox/id/AAQkAGIxYTcxODdiLTE4ZmUtNDdlMy05MTNlLTA4ZjY5NTFhMDAzMQAQAEfHiK856HBMuLPQSXRXGo…1/2 We have lived at 23 Park Place peacefully and enjoyably for 10 years. We previously lived on Worth Street from 2008 to 2015. We relocated to Park place after the City built the new rec center and put in a parking lot next to our house for which they accidently took 10 feet of our property. We wanted a place a little more quiet, after they starting holding basketball tournaments. We loved the peacefulness of the neighborhood, so we didn’t venture very far. In regards to the building proposed, 18,000 sq feet and located 12 feet from our home. We feel the structure is simply too big and dense for the property and the neighborhood. The neighbor to the left of us three years ago proposed two, two family houses and was denied due to density. We request the same for the left side. While we are not opposed to development, this is simply too much in an old mature neighborhood. The current owners purchased this property roughly 2 years ago with a mission to over develop the property and have already stripped the land of 5 mature oak trees close to 200 years old and other trees. According to a recent interview, the owner is on the Saratoga Preservation Board, how is cutting all the trees down a form of preservation? They also say that they are trying to replicate a hotel on the property from the mid 1800’s. This hotel was 1/3 the size of the proposed building and fit nicely on the property. In addition to the density, please consider the following: Parking, Traffic, Garbage, Lack of sunshine, snow removal and lighting, all which will directly affect our property. Thank you for your time and consideration. Marlene and John Attach Photo (optional)Field not completed. Email not displaying correctly?
