Comments My wife and I have lived at 12 Cottage St across the street from
the proposed development. I spoke at the last meeting echoing
the sentiments of all the other speakers, ie that the building
was too big, was inappropriate for the neighborhood, and
dramitically increase the traffic on Cottage St. Since then, I
have refined my opinion a bit. There are three things that I think
are wrong with this project as it stands.

Cottage St. where it will dramitically increase the traffic on what

is now an extremely quiet street. Park Place is already a busy
street, so putting the entrance on that side would make no
noticeable change.
2. The proposed three story building is too big. it is in no way in
keeping with the character of the neighborhood. Its footprint
needs to be reduced so that it does not dominate the buildings
around it.
3. If we are going to have a condo development, let's at least
have two stories, not three, and four units, not six.
I was impressed with the board chair's comment that their job
was to make sure that the development that they approved was
in the best interest of the city. If we can scale that down to the
project at hand, I think we have all been trying to say that this
project as it stands,is not in the best interest of the community.
It is only in the best interest of the developer.
