Comments I am writing to express my full support for the proposed 6-unit condominium project at the corner of Park Place and Cottage Street. The design presented is thoughtful, attractive, and blends seamlessly with the character of the surrounding neighborhood. It reflects a high standard of architecture while remaining respectful of scale, density, and aesthetics consistent with the UR-4 zoning district. Importantly, the proposal meets or exceeds all zoning and 5/12/25, 11:05 AM Mail - Mark Graham - Outlook https://outlook.office365.com/mail/inbox/id/AAQkAGIxYTcxODdiLTE4ZmUtNDdlMy05MTNlLTA4ZjY5NTFhMDAzMQAQAGTNv4cuuitMraH2U3dpUu4%…1/2 design requirements under the current Unified Development Ordinance (UDO), including setbacks, lot area, building coverage, parking, and impervious surface limits. It adds much- needed housing to the city, in exactly the kind of infill location where smart growth should occur—on a vacant lot that has long been underutilized. The developers are also contributing to the public realm with new sidewalks, street trees, curbing, lighting, and other streetscape improvements, demonstrating their commitment to the community and urban fabric. Unfortunately, much of the opposition to this project appears to stem from a misunderstanding of what good planning looks like. This is precisely the type of well-designed, code-compliant, moderate-density housing that Saratoga Springs needs more of —especially in walkable, established neighborhoods. I urge the Planning Board to move forward with this project without hesitation. It is a model for responsible development and should be welcomed by anyone who values thoughtful growth and high-quality design. Attach Photo (optional)Field not completed.
