Project Address 105 Regent St, Saratoga Comments I am writing to urge the Board to please consider the scope and scale of this project with relation to the neighborhood character. While I do not feel as though the current condition of this property with the solid fence and unkempt landscaping is appropriate either, I believe that the proposed project is too much density and too imposing a building for this area. The majority of the homes along this part of Park Place and Cottage Street are small single family structures, including the two historic homes that are adjacent to this parcel. Saratoga is becoming too filled with unattractive brick buildings that all look the same. If we say we cherish and celebrate our unique and historical character, we cannot continue to destroy it with homogenous enormous buildings that ruin the streetscape simply for the financial benefit of a small number of people. I feel strongly that in order to maintain the neighborhood feel and reduce impact, that this lot would be more suited for either two single family homes, or a more uniquely designed set of three row-houses or something along those lines. A more attractive and unique structure with only four units instead of six would even be preferable to this proposal. It is too imposing for the surroundings and too much density.
