RE: SCPB Referral Review # 19- 163-Area Variance-Verizon Wireless
Placement of cell tower apparatus on the roof of the City's Town Hall. Area
variance needed for relief as maximum building height is 70 feet, while the
existing roof elevation of City Hall is 73 .8 ft existing; 80.7 feet is total proposed
height.
Location: Lake Avenue (NYS Rt. 29) , north side between High Rock Ave & Henry St.

2019 .
Reviewed by the Saratoga County Planning Board on September 19, 2019 .
Decision: Approve
Comment: Proposed are six (6) roof-mounted antennas enclosed within a 6'x6'x8'
faux chimney enclosure and a 9'-4" x 11 ' equipment platform on a 12 'x17' rooftop
lease area. We note from the referred material provided that the applicant viewed and
submitted five (5) options for collocation on facades or rooftops submitted. It was
attested that a thorough search for an acceptable tall structure was carried out yet
others were not accepted as adequate through local review - traditional roof mounts
not wanted, flush mounts to the façade were not desired - so a stealth enclosure was
proposed. Brick that matches existing color, texture and mortar colors has been
proposed.
