We are unable to attend the meeting on 4/10, so please accept our written comments instead. We have reviewed the 2 subdivsion plans posted on 4/3, and we are satisfied that option B, with a driveway and 2 off-street parking spots to the right side of the duplex addresses our concerns, and the concerns of other residents in the neighborhood. 4/10/25, 11:38 AM Mail - Mark Graham - Outlook https://outlook.office365.com/mail/inbox/id/AAQkAGIxYTcxODdiLTE4ZmUtNDdlMy05MTNlLTA4ZjY5NTFhMDAzMQAQAK4viwlO%2FOpFkRG8TH6I3…1/2 The first drawing, Option A, with a single, half width / partial on- street parking spot in front of the duplex does NOT address our concerns. Each unit in the duplex is a 2 bedroom unit, and the likelihood of there being 2 cars associated with that apartment is high That single, half width parking spot is 22' in length, and can only fit a single vehicle - There is no place off-street for a 2nd car. The district standard is 2 off-street spots per dwelling unit. - In winter time that half width parking spot will be problematic. - The volume and weight of snow that gets plowed to the side of the road protrudes several feet into the driving lane - I know, as I shovel/snow blow nearly all the driveways on Ave A each and every snow storm. I take it upon myself to widen the road where I can. - A car protruding 4' into the active roadway will limit where DPW crews can plow, further narrowing the active driving width. As noted in his 3/12 letter to the Planning Board, Andrew Krupski, Dept of Safety Traffic Manager states that there is no objection to a 3rd driveway, and he would be concerned with on-street parking close to the intersection with Marion Ave. Finally, there was a question raised at the last planning board meeting about the width of Ave A from end to end, I took it upon myself to measure the width of Ave A. The pavement varies from around 21.5' to 23' wide, with narrowing where there are existing large trees very close to the road. We like Option B - the additional driveway with 2 off street parking spots. Thank you Attach Photo (optional)Field not completed. Email not displaying correctly?
