Project Address 30-30 1/2 Caroline Street Comments Dear Design Review Board: Please do not approve the 30-30 1/2 Caroline Street Building Expansion as is currently configured in the updated proposal. The building is far too massive and blocky to fit into the historic legacy of Saratoga Springs. It is likewise too high. 4/10/25, 11:28 AM Mail - Mark Graham - Outlook https://outlook.office365.com/mail/inbox/id/AAQkAGIxYTcxODdiLTE4ZmUtNDdlMy05MTNlLTA4ZjY5NTFhMDAzMQAQAOMK4Kd5%2BttBtvJEuvPZTc…1/2 In fact, it is hardly any different from a number of other decently developed properties in or near the urban core. The last thing that the City needs is yet another overpowering structure that looms over the surrounding neighborhood. The DRB has a responsibility to promote sensible and attractive buildings that will at least attempt to preserve the charm of Saratoga Springs. As currently proposed, the size and appearance of 30-30 1/2 Caroline Street fails to do that. Until others more knowledgeable can offer viable solutions to how the project can be improved, It should be rejected as it stands. John McMahon Attach Photo (optional)Field not completed.
