Dear Saratoga City Officials,
We are writing to request the removal of a note on the current subdivision map for 54 Kirby
Road, which states that "no access to this lot from Route 29 is permitted." This note was
added in 2003, and since then, there have been significant changes to the surrounding
area, particularly along Route 29.
Since the note was added, a stoplight has been installed at this location, and a new road
now runs adjacent to our property off of Route 29. Additionally, we have received
conceptual approval from Michael Keegan, a NYS Department of Transportation engineer,
to add an entrance to our property from Route 29. Please find the attached email
confirming this approval.
The proposed point of access would be directly opposite Eastman Lane. This access is vital
for our planning, as my wife and I intend to build a larger garage with an entrance from
Route 29 on the property. We are also considering subdividing the remaining portion of the
property.
We would greatly appreciate your consideration and approval of this request. Please feel
