Comments I will be unable to attend the public hearing. Our house is just
across Bank Alley from the site being discussed, and we have
parking on Bank Alley. As you consider traffic flow in and out of
driveways, the proposed upper driveway, for two cars coming
off of Bank Alley, may be problematic for the owners in winter -
particularly if the city goes through with earlier suggestions of
making McTygue Alley one way. As I have previously
commented on those plans, in winter time that steep alley is
often very slippery. For those of us who use it to access near

by parking, we need to be able to go both up and down the
flatter upper portion of the alley by Circular Street ( particularly
the Murrays, for whom that is their only parking). We actually
switch to using our Circular Street driveway parking in winter
since Bank Alley is one of the last roads plowed - and even
when plowed can be slippery upon exiting to McTygue Alley in
any direction. IF this project goes through, the need to keep
both Bank Alley and Mctygue Alley 2-way is even greater.
