Re: SCPB Referral Review #25-55 - Area Variance (Sign) - Hilton Garden Inn
There are three proposed area variances being requested for new signage at the Hilton Garden Inn on
South Broadway. The first variance is to allow signage on the second floor of the building where signs
are not allowed on the second story of the building in the City's T-5 zoning district. The second area
variance requests involves maximum allowed area of logo signage where 25 inches is requested and 18
inches the maximum allowed. The last area variance is for total area of the proposed monument sign
where 12 s.f. is the maximum allowed and 14.5 s.f. is requested.

Received from the City of Saratoga Springs Zoning Board of Appeals on March 12, 2025.
Reviewed by staff with concurrence of two members of the Saratoga County Planning Board.
Decision: No Significant County-wide or Intercommunity Impact
Comments: In accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the City of Saratoga
Springs Zoning Board of Appeals and the Saratoga County Planning Board, the above-noted Area Variance
(Sign) application has been reviewed by staff and with the necessary concurrence of two Board members
has been deemed to present no significant county-wide impacts.
