This extra driveway is favorable since Avenue A is about 22 feet wide and cannot accommodate on-street parking. Additionally, there would be concerns about on-street parking near the intersection affecting turning traffic from Marion Ave. The closely spaced driveways resemble the various townhouse developments and denser residential areas found throughout the city, which is normally not a concern. Driveway place is close to the intersection with Marion, however it was approved by the PB. Upon reviewing the area on Google Maps, it seems that residents are already utilizing the proposed driveway areas, and we have not received any complaints regarding this. The neighbors expressed concerns about lack of off-street parking for the two-family on lot 1 and suggested a driveway to the left of the existing building. My concern on that is that there would be 3 driveways close to one another and close to the intersection. There was also a concern as to the narrow width of the road for on-street parking.
