Dear Brittney Ciuffo:
Thank you for continuing to consult with the New York State Historic Preservation Office
(SHPO). We have reviewed the submitted materials in accordance with the New York State
Historic Preservation Act of 1980 (section 14.09 of the New York Parks, Recreation and Historic
Preservation Law). These comments are those of the Division for Historic Preservation and
relate only to Historic/Cultural resources.
The revised site plan, dated February 21, 2022, indicates that the proposed project will be
limited to three new housing lots along Nelson Avenue. Based on this revised site plan we have
no concerns with potential impacts to the adjacent National Register listed Union Avenue
Historic District. Based upon this review, it is the opinion of the SHPO that the proposed project
will have No Adverse Impact to historic and cultural resources. If there are substantive changes
to the proposed project, consultation with our office should resume.
If you have any questions, I can be reached via email or at (518) 268-2164.
Sincerely,
Weston Davey
Historic Site Restoration Coordinator
