Comments Dear Board Members, Before I try to put this application to the
back of my mind and focus on the joy of this season, I want to
thank you for considering protecting us with a substantial
buffer. I feel compelled to ask if any thought has been given to
the amount of run off this site is going to experience due to the

clear cutting in phase one. You spoke of the transpiration loss,
but nothing was mentioned about the runoff and erosion. The
swale should bring the water from the wetland down to the
easement into the city system - the engineers have said it will
work. The question is all of the other water no longer being
stopped by the canopy or soaked by the roots as the land
slopes to the northern - shallow - wetland. It was basically
empty due to the drought before the last rains when the level
crept almost into to our back yard. Can this wetland handle all
of the water it will receive from the southern wetland and all of
the runoff? Would you please address this? Cornell does
advisory consults with municipalities
