Comments I attended the workshop meeting last week, and remain
staunchly opposed to this project.
When a concern was shared over water in the swale directly
being on/over the property line of neighbors, a few board
members said the "water is not allowed" to do that. I'm not sure

how you explain to rushing water that where it goes is "not
allowed."
I was also shocked to hear a board member say that if there
are any problems with the drainage etc after this land
disturbance Phase 1 as it's now being called, they can fix it in
Phase 2?! How can any of this be an acceptable idea??
Neighbors will have to deal with the consequences in the
meantime?? Clear land, fill in wet lands for something that
"may" happen down the road, on a landlocked parcel, no
matter how it might affect the neighborhood??
There is a vacant lot at the bottom of Outlook Avenue that has
been there for years now. It was clearcut and it is an eyesore.
Do we really need to disturb nature and wetlands for something
that might happen, who knows when?
After the meeting was over, James the engineer kindly shared
the map with a few of us since the drawings are very difficult to
see online. It was very clear from the drawing that the swale is
directly on the property line of my neighbors. How can this be
allowed? I know that in the neighborhood when neighbors have
put up fences or constructed sheds, that there are required set
backs from the property lines. How can this swale be allowed
right on the line? I asked if it could be moved further into Mohr's
property, but they said no. The reason was that the sloping of
the land in that area would not work with the swale. Well then,
perhaps this swale should not be allowed in this area. This land
distrubance should not be allowed. Please do the right thing by
the neighbors and the city.
