Comments I join my neighbors in being deeply saddened by the
decimation of a significant portion of forest and wetlands
behind Outlook Ave. Our neighborhood has always felt like one
from the 90's where kids can play in the street and ride their
bikes around the block without being watched like hawks. The

purity of the neighborhood and the kindness of the people living
there are unique. I believe that being surrounded by nature on
the back property line of the entire block creates a sense of
peace and protection. I understand the Mohr's are entitled to
maximizing the value of their land and preparing it for optimal
conditions for sale, but it is being done at the expense of the
families that live in the area. I'm not only talking about property
value, but of the ability to expose our kids to nature, fresh air,
and a safe place to play. The more our area is developed the
more congestion will follow. We have no idea who will purchase
the lot or what will be built there. And this could further impact
the lives of our neighborhood families. When we purchased 39
Outlook I thought it would be our forever home and now I have
no idea. Sure, we could move to another neighborhood
surrounded by more woods and nature, but it would require
tearing our community apart. Truly a sad moment for us all.
Attached is a photo of my backyard in the fall. A place where
my kids play on their swing set, lay in the sun, splash around
on their splash pad and enjoy the sounds of birds singing. As
this area gets further and further developed to make room for
what? Another barber shop with apartments on top? This
classic Saratoga neighborhood will one day be gone for good. I
implore the Planning Board to continue fighting for the safety
and purity of our neighborhood in whatever way is possible.
With thanks,
Shona Rotondo
