Comments This is Thomas Garrett owner of 535-537 Union Ave (across
the street) My question is where does this project fit in to
Zoning as a RR Classification. It is a Air B&B project
expansion, in essence a Commercial endeavor as such should
be zoned as Commercial project. The application for the 505

Union Project (now Druthers) had originally applied to add to
that project . It was zoned as RR then too. It was denied or
withdrawn at that time. I assume this is to make more on the Air
B&B Income rather than a use need for more family living
space. The new owners should be able to explain the listings
online for the short term rentals listing. Further that the city is
currently in process of regulating into code changes. It seems
these are conflicting goals. Also, I have not been notified of any
Design Review, as an entry to the city requires before this
change is decided. This stretch of road, although owned/
maintained by NY state rather than the City of Saratoga has
seen no less then 3 accidents in the same week last summer.
Speeding that has gone unregulated (35MPH) for decades and
is a major consideration for this expansion project. See actual
photos attached.
even recently during the last snow storm this speed limit was
ignored...these people are not constituents of the city we pay
taxes to either,
