SUBMIT COMMENTS REGARDING CITY PROJECTS

City's Planning Department and Land Use Board members. NOTE: Comments
submitted later than 12:00 noon on the day before the Land Use Board meeting
may not be reviewed prior to their meeting. All comments will be added to the

Comments We adamantly oppose the destruction of the wetlands as
proposed by the 239 Washington St Land Disturbance project
for multiple reasons.
-We oppose the rushing of a city permit approval through just
before NYS issues a wetland regulatory revision (due 7 weeks

from now - January 1st) that will likely curtail or prevent
development. These NYS changes are specifically aimed at
stopping destruction of small unique wetlands like this one.
-We oppose this due to the fact that the Wetlands are mapped
and should be protected by the city. Also because there is no
plan in place for what will go in the area after the wetlands are
destroyed.
-It seems as though the a good plan could preserve the
wetlands thus conserving Saratoga Springs world famous
water resources and benefit the owner. However, no plan has
been presented to the board for the use of the land following
the destruction of the wetlands.
