Comments To All,
I am writing to the Planning Board today to request that “No
Parking” signs be placed along the sides of the road for the first
100 to 150 yards along the entrance to the Bog Meadow
residential neighborhood IF the project at 400 Louden Road is

passed/accepted.
After taking some time to do research and educate myself on
all of the interactions to the project at 400 Louden Road I have
learned that this is a project with a multifaceted societal impact.
• The project is wanted by a group who wants to build a church.
The problem that arose was that what was wanted was more
than the purchased 5 acre lot would allow. So what this project
had was the proverbial cart before the horse as the land was
purchased before the actual design and layout was done. This
has led the Planning Board and the Project Planners to make
concessions in order for the project to be designed.
• This research also shows that a residential neighborhood was
worried about the impact that this project was going to have on
their neighbors and their 25 year old green space driven
residential neighborhood. What was found was that there have
been few if any concessions made in lieu of the residents
requests.
• Taking the time to review the plans, the planning board open
discussions and the written comments I believe these things
hold true; 1) the residents would not like their neighborhood
roads used as a parking lot, 2) the church also had no interest
in using the neighborhood roads as overflow parking, 3) only
some members of the planning board have asked to have a
path to use Bog Meadow as overflow parking.
In conclusion:
If the plans for 400 Louden Road remain the same as the plans
discussed on 10/24/24 then the grass path that was discussed
could stay for the use of the residents, and then signs could be
posted along the Bog Meadow Run roadway to help the
residents and the church coexist.
Respectfully Submitted,
Michael P. Darling
