The planters will be installed to be the same size as the adjacent planters in front of ATC and G. Willikers. The planters will incorporate large street trees and space for annual plantings. The planters will allow for public benches, a trash receptacle, and a bike rack. How will the project handle trash collection? – Trash collection will be coordinated with a local hauler. The dumpsters will be located at the rear of the building and access to them will come from the alley. There is a large enough for the truck to pull the dumpster out and lift it to dump in the rear of the truck. Trash calculation was another request from the board and in addition to the grease dumpster which is used for Compton’s grease trap there will be an 8-yard dumpster and a 2- yard dumpster. Calculation is below; ½ yard per week for 2 bedroom apartment conservatively x 19 units = 8.5 yard per week 1 yard per restaurant per week x 2 Total of 10.5 yards per week It is anticipated to start with collection once a week and adjust the frequency as needed. Where do deliveries and loading happen? – Deliveries will occur the same way they currently occur. The delivery truck will temporarily park in the alley and make the delivery. The current tenants will remain in place and are set up to receive the deliveries from the rear of the businesses. Where will tenants park? Are there any agreements? – The project proposes to construct 7 parking spaces on the ground level under the new apartments. These spaces will be leased to certain units and not to be used by the public. There is a public parking lot to the rear of the property that has available spaces to accommodate these tenants.
