CONSULTING ENGINEER Mailing Address: 3 Jackson Avenue South Glens Falls, New York 12803 Tel: (518) 222-1338 Engineer's Field Observation Report Client: Kara Smith and James DelFavero Contractor: Morning Star Septic Service Location: 10A Nelson Avenue, Saratoga Springs (Outside District) TM # 179.-2-13 The vacant building lot at 10A Nelson Avenue was evaluated on August 27, 2019 by Kevin L. Hastings, PE. Also present was Lou DeRidder, excavator for Morning Star Septic Service, Kara Smith, and Julian DelFavero. The purpose of the field meeting was to conduct a soil percolation test and a deep hole test pit to determine the feasibility for lot development prior to purchase. Both excavations were located approximately 25 feet off the pavement of Nelson Avenue. The deep hole test pit (TP-1) report: 0" – 4" Topsoil 4" -- 36" Medium brown sand 36" – 72" Tan sand No ledge rock to depth No seasonal high groundwater (mottling) to depth. A standard percolation test hole was hand excavated to a depth of 24 inches, and presoaked for 20 minutes prior to time runs. The stabilized soil percolation rate was 1 minute 45 seconds. CONCLUSION: We have determined by thorough investigation and field observation this vacant building lot can support the development of a single family home. The observed soil conditions were found to be typical of this region of the City of Saratoga Springs. NOTE: This report is valid for planning & regulatory purposes and buyer's due diligence prior to purchase. However, specific soil testing and engineering design for a building permit application shall be completed at the proposed location of the sewage disposal system. — .\tOr NEW) c'` 0 44„ L• N'1 Sr • t r :f1 ► * 71WW-1 Kevin L.
