RE: 115 Walnut Street — Solar Installation
1tt
Dear Tamie:
The Saratoga Springs Preservation Foundation has reviewed the application to install solar
panels on the roof of 115 Walnut Street.
The circa 1840 Greek Revival house is a *`contributing building" to the West Side Historic
District listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Board of Directors
Adam N. Favro The Foundation does not object to the installation of solar roof panels. However, it does
President have concerns about the proposed ground ladder accesses which are referenced on the site
aces Gold plan. There is no detailed information about the ground ladder accesses — size, material, or
JVice President color. The Foundation respectfully requests that the Design Review Commission require
detailed information regarding the ground access ladders before providing approval as the
Linda Harvey-Opiteck ladders will be highly visible on Washington Street.
Secretary
Dmtriy Yermolayev The Foundation appreciates the significant investment the owner is making to preserve their
Treasurer historic building.
