The planning board’s decision to require a pedestrian footpath
to interconnect the project with Bog Meadow Run is completely
irresponsible.
In a previous planning board decision, it was determined that
this pedestrian path onto Bog Meadow Run would be unsafe
and unnecessary. Without question the pedestrian path would
lead to an increase in on street parking on Bog Meadow Run,
which would negatively impact the residents of that
neighborhood, especially those on bicycle and on foot in
addition to automobile traffic.
The city of Saratoga Springs zoning ordinance clearly defines
why the 400 Louden Road project is in violation of the terms of
the conservation subdivision. Please refer to article 241–4 as
well as article 241–12 B(3)
Article 16.3 of the Conservation Design notes "Uses Permitted:
Only single-family and single-family attached dwellings are
permitted within a conservation design."
The Special Use permit should not have been considered for
the proposed project at 400 Louden Rd. based on the current
zoning ordinances as outlined. The Special Use permit should
immediatly be rescinded .
Putting people at risk of bodily harm never makes sense. This
violation of the zoning ordinance will certainly create
unnecessary hazards that will likely cause physical harm to
residents of this community. Certainly, every measure should
be taken to ensure that these potential accidents never
happen.
Thank you for your consideration in this matter
Sincerely,
Anthony foster
